One morning awhile back, when Eddy Vetter was still here, a women came with her son who had had an accident a year ago. A motorcycle hit him and broke his leg and hip. After that happened, the father left home so that he wouldn’t have to pay for anything and now the women and her 4 boys have to fend for themselves. It’s ....

Traditional Marriage

On Saturday, Glory’s brother, who lives outside Palmgrove had a traditional marriage. Most of the people in Palmgrove were invited. I decided to go along and see how they celebrate a wedding in Nigeria. Getting there was quite the experience in itself; it wasn’t too far from Palmgrove but the roads into the jungle were just terrible. Yikes! ‘Shocking’ Situations!

The "IT Experts" in charge of the transferring process seem to have made a small mistake which resulted in a two-day rollback. So far everything has been restored except for a few comments (about 5). We will try to restore as many as possible, as time permits.....

“Let’s just try to live together according to what the bible teaches us.”

Just the other day, Joseph came to the management meeting all upset. Apparently what had happened was, someone from outside had come in and was telling him that the people of Palmgrove were just slaves to Inno Vetter (the minister) and the white men. The man said, that he had worked hard in the government council, and now had a nice house to live in and a good income, while the people of Palmgrove can't even make their living. After discussing it in the morning management meeting, we found that this was a general attitude of the people around P....
